What the app name is: The name of the app as it appears in the store and on users’ devices.

Google: Includes a short (80-character) “Short Description” plus a full-length version.For Apple (iOS) you can update the app name and description with this article: How to Update your Brand Assets. Apple typically reviews app changes in 24-48 hours.For Google (Android) you can simply login to Google Play Console, click on the app, navigate to Grow Users, click on Store Presence, click on Store Listings, and edit the Default Store Listing to change the app name and description.Once you’ve made updates, you can click save and send the change for review. What it is: The icon is the image that appears on the user’s phone and in the app store listing. The logo is what shows inside of the app.

Best practice: Think like your audience—what terms would they search to find an app like yours? Use relevant keywords, separated by commas (no spaces), and avoid duplicates.
Primary & Secondary Category: Helps with store discoverability (e.g., Education, Health & Fitness)
Keywords (Apple only): Search terms to help the app appear in App Store search results. Example: fitness,workouts,home yoga,coaching,wellness
Select the app
From the My Apps dashboard, click on the app.
Choose or create a new version
Under the App Store tab, click on the app version currently in Prepare for Submission (or create a new version if you’re updating).
If no version is available for editing, you’ll need to click the blue + button to create one. Type in the next version number up from the current live version number.
Scroll to the Keywords section
In the version details, find the Keywords field.
Localization means adapting the app’s listing to different languages and regions, so people around the world can find, understand, and engage with the app—in their native language.This includes:
Translated app name
Custom screenshots
Region-specific descriptions and keywords
Localized date, time, number, and currency formats (in-app)
Apps with localized listings often get significantly higher downloads in non-English-speaking markets.
If you have an Individual account, the personal name will appear as the developer name.
If you want a business name to display, you must have an Organization Account.
