Contact exclusion is designed to proactively protect and improve the health of your mailing list and sender reputation to ultimately strengthen your email deliverability.

What is contact exclusion

With Contact Exclusion, Kajabi analyzes your contacts and flags high-risk, inactive email addresses or contacts that have not engaged with 25 or more emails and excludes them from receiving your marketing emails. If a high-risk contact is added to your site, but they visibly engage with your emails they will not be excluded from receiving your marketing emails.
Note: Excluded contacts are not removed from your site, but will no longer receive your marketing emails.

What is the benefit of excluding contacts

Sending emails to high-risk and inactive email addresses can be detrimental to your email deliverability and sender reputation. High-risk and inactive contacts can put you at risk of being flagged for spam and can result in more emails landing in your recipients’ spam folder, and worse, severely impact your sender reputation if a high-risk or inactive email address is a spam trap. How are marketing emails affected by exclusions

Excluded contacts are excluded from receiving your marketing emails. This includes email broadcasts, email sequences, and event emails. Because excluded contacts cannot receive your marketing emails, they will not impact your email statistics. Additionally, any excluded contacts subscribed to an email sequence or registered to an event will not receive any future emails. Although your excluded contacts will be excluded from receiving your marketing emails, they will remain in your Contacts tab and if they are registered to an event, will remain registered to your event, but will not receive any event emails.

Can an exclusion be reversed

An exclusion cannot be reversed. Contact exclusion is permanent.
