What’s different
You might not see anything different, but you’ll feel it. Searches are now dramatically faster across the board:- For high-volume businesses: Contact searches that used to take 60 seconds or more to load will now load in under 1 second
- For most Heroes: Expect contact search times to drop from around 0.7 seconds to just 0.1 seconds
- Visual updates: When filtering your search, a few of the email filters that previously used the terminology “All time” have been changed to “Within the last year”
A quick note on timing
With faster searches comes a small but important change to how the system loads your search results to provide the quickest and best response possible. What does that mean for you?- When a contact is updated—by filling out a form, making a purchase, getting tagged, updating a custom field, etc.—it can take up to ~10 seconds for that update to show in your search results
- Most of the time, you won’t notice this delay. Sometimes, hitting search again a few seconds later will show the change
- Occasionally, you might catch the update in real-time, depending on when the background refresh hits
Search filter visual updates
Previously, when using the Contact filters to adjust your search, there was an option for “all time”. The “all-time” option has been changed to “365 days.” Why the change? Most email activity that impacts your deliverability or audience health happens in the first year. This update keeps your filters focused on the most relevant, recent data—so you can make smarter decisions faster. Behind the scenes, this also helps Kajabi improve search speed and reduce data load, which lays the groundwork for faster email performance and fewer system timeouts—especially as your contact list grows. The following filters will show 365 days:- Email Activity - Has hard bounced in the last year (Yes/No)
- Marketing Status - Hard Bounced
- Marketing Status - Marked Spam
- Marketing Status - Manually Unsubscribed
- Marketing Status - Opted Out

What else changed
- Improved result relevance. Searches prioritize better matches. For example, searching “Anne” will surface Anne Smith before Maryanne Jones.
- More results, smarter order. You may see more entries returned, but the most relevant ones will be listed first.
