Videos are an entertaining and impactful way to engage with your audience. Adding a Video section to your emails creates a clickable image directing your email recipients to a separate page to watch your video.

Add a Video section

  1. In the sidebar, select Add Section.
  2. From the list, select Video.
  3. Your video block will generate at the bottom of the section.
  4. Click Save to keep your changes:
Note: You will need to add a thumbnail image to your video or our default image will remain as the thumbnail for the video.
  1. In your page, hover over the existing video you want to edit and click Edit.
  2. Navigate to the sidebar and click Select Image.
  3. Select Upload a New File or Select a Recent File to upload your Video Thumbnail.
  4. Click Save to keep your changes:
  1. There are four options for adding a video URL to your email:
    • Go to a Landing Page
    • Go to a Checkout Page
    • Download a File
    • Go to a URL
If you choose to direct your email recipient to a Landing Page or Checkout Page you’ve built on Kajabi, you’ll select that page from a dropdown menu. If you choose to send your recipient to another URL, you’ll type the link address into an input field. If you don’t already have your video embedded in a web page, the simplest option is to select Download a File and then upload your video file. When your email recipient clicks to view your video, the video file will open directly via an AWS (Amazon Web Services) URL in their web browser and start playing. Your video can also be downloaded by viewers if you choose this option.
  1. In the sidebar editor, click the Video URL dropdown menu.
  2. Select either Go to a Landing Page, Go to a Checkout Page, Download a File, or Go to a URL.
  3. Depending on your choice in the previous step, either select your page from the dropdown menu, upload your file, or enter your page URL.
  4. Click Save to keep your changes:
  1. Click the Preview icon at the top of the sidebar editor to preview your email:

Player settings

Video Player settings can be customized:
  • Check Show Overlay to turn overlay on/off.
  • Customize the Overlay Color.
  • Check the Show Play Button setting to display a play button on the video.
  • Customize the Play Button Color.
