Overview

You can create, manage, and cancel subscriptions and payment plans using Kajabi Payments.
Note: Kajabi Payments is currently only available to Heroes whose businesses are registered in the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, and select European countries.

Supported subscription and payment plan features

Subscription and payment plan features that are currently supported with Kajabi Payments include the following:

Set up a subscription or payment plan with Kajabi Payments

Create a subscription with Kajabi Payments

  1. Open the Sales tab from the Dashboard
  2. Click Offers
  3. Select the Offer you wish to edit or create a new one
  4. Select the Pricing tab
  5. For Payment Type, choose Subscription
  6. Add a Trial Period (optional) and/or a Setup fee (optional)
  7. Navigate to the Payment Providers section
  8. Select Kajabi Payments from the dropdown menu
  9. Click Save to apply your changes
Kajabi Payments supports payment plans, allowing you to accept monthly payments for your product(s).

Create a payment plan with Kajabi Payments

  1. Open the Sales tab from the Dashboard
  2. Click Offers
  3. Select the Offer you wish to edit or create a new one
  4. Select the Pricing tab
  5. For Payment Type, choose Payment Plan
  6. Enter a Payment amount and Number of Payments
  7. Add a Trial Period (optional) and/or a Setup fee (optional)
  8. Navigate to the Payment Providers section
  9. Select Kajabi Payments from the dropdown menu
  10. Click Save to apply your changes

Refund and send receipts for a subscription or payment plan transaction

Perform a full or partial refund

  1. Open the Sales tab from the Dashboard
  2. Select Payments from the Sales tab
  3. From the Payments page, select Transactions to be taken to the Transactions page
  4. Search or filter to find the customer’s transaction that you want to refund. Learn more.
  5. Once you have found the payment you wish to refund, select the … button for More Actions
  6. In the More Actions drop-down menu, select Refund
  7. Enter your Refund amount and select a reason (optional) for your records
  8. Press Refund to complete the Refund process

Send a receipt for subscription transactions

  1. Open the Sales tab from the Dashboard
  2. Select Payments
  3. Click Transactions
  4. Search the email of the Customer you wish to refund
  5. Open the More Actions Menu …
  6. Select Send Receipt

Edit individual subscription or payment plan price

Edit an individual subscription price or payment plan directly through Kajabi with Kajabi Payments:
  1. Open the Sales tab from the Dashboard
  2. Click Payments
  3. Select Subscriptions
  4. Click the subscription amount for the customer you wish to edit
  5. Use the More Actions Menu …
  6. Select Update Subscription
  7. If you are increasing the subscription price, you must check the I agree to provide customers with adequate notice of price changes as required by law. box to continue
  8. Click Save to save your changes
Note: When increasing a subscription price, you may be required to inform your customer about this change. Follow all applicable laws and regulations. The price change will go into effect at the next scheduled subscription date. If the price is changed 1 day before the next scheduled payment, the changes may not apply to that payment. The minimum amount required for all payments is $0.50.

Update the billing date for subscriptions and payment plans

If a customer requests to move or pause the billing date for their Subscription or Payment Plan, you can easily make that change using Kajabi Payments. Learn more about updating billing dates, including tips and limitations.

Cancel a subscription or payment plan

Canceling payments from the Purchase Information page on Kajabi will end the subscription or payment plan and revoke product access immediately for payments processed through Kajabi Payments.

Cancel payments and product access

  1. Open the Sales tab from your Dashboard
  2. Select Payments
  3. Click Subscriptions
  4. Open the More Actions menu (…) for the subscription you wish to cancel
  5. Click Cancel Payments
  6. Select the date to cancel payments and access:
    • End of the Current Billing Period
    • On a Custom Date
    • Cancel Now
  7. Click Cancel Payments to confirm
