Overview

Kajabi Cart transforms your site into a full shopping experience where customers can browse, add multiple products, and checkout once. This is ideal for Heroes who sell multiple standalone products like courses, templates, or digital downloads. Cart brings traditional e-commerce functionality to your Kajabi site. Instead of purchasing one offer at a time, your customers can add several products to their cart and complete a single transaction. This streamlines the buying experience and can increase your average order value.

Key benefits

  • Increase average order value — Customers can purchase multiple products without going through checkout multiple times
  • Create a familiar shopping experience — Cart works the way customers expect from e-commerce sites
  • Reduce checkout friction — One payment for everything means less drop-off between purchases
  • Bundle products naturally — Display related products together and let customers choose their combination
  • Simplify your sales pages — Show multiple offers on one page with add-to-cart buttons

What you can do with Cart

Create product catalog pages

Build pages that showcase multiple products with add-to-cart buttons. Customers can browse your offerings and add what interests them before checking out.

Offer bundles and collections

Group related products together and encourage customers to purchase multiple items. Create themed collections or tiered bundles based on your content.

Display cart across your site

Show a cart icon in your header or as a floating button so customers always know how to access their selections.

Apply coupons at checkout

Customers can apply coupon codes when reviewing their cart, making it easy to offer discounts on multi-product purchases.

How Cart works

  1. Customer browses your offers and clicks Add to Cart on products they want
  2. Items are saved to their cart, visible via the cart icon
  3. Customer clicks the cart to review their selections
  4. Customer proceeds to checkout and completes one payment for all items
  5. Customer receives access to all purchased products immediately

For detailed setup instructions, see the Cart setup guide.

Using coupons with Cart

Coupons work with Cart to let you offer discounts on multi-product purchases:
  • Percentage discounts — Take a percentage off the total cart value
  • Fixed amount discounts — Subtract a specific dollar amount from the total
  • Product-specific coupons — Apply discounts only to certain items in the cart
To enable a coupon for Cart, edit the coupon and turn on Allow in Cart checkout.
Tip: Create special coupons that only apply when customers have multiple items in their cart to encourage larger purchases.

Compatible offer types

Cart works with offers that have one-time payment pricing:
  • Courses with one-time payment
  • Digital downloads
  • Coaching packages with single payments
  • Templates and resources
Note: Subscriptions and payment plans are not compatible with Cart. These offer types require direct checkout to set up recurring billing.

FAQs

Can customers save their cart for later?

Carts are saved in the customer’s browser session. If they close the browser or clear cookies, the cart contents are lost. Encourage customers to complete their purchase in one session.

Can I limit how many items customers can add?

There is no built-in limit on cart items. Customers can add as many compatible offers as they want.

Do order bumps work with Cart?

Order bumps are configured per offer and appear during the standard checkout flow. For Cart purchases, customers see their selected items and can add more before payment.

How do refunds work for Cart purchases?

You can refund individual items from a Cart purchase or the entire order. Each product in the order can be refunded separately through your payment processor.

Can I track which products are purchased together?

Yes, your sales reports show which offers were purchased in the same transaction. Use this data to identify popular product combinations and create targeted bundles.
