Kajabi’s 2018 checkout provides an improved purchase experience with better mobile responsiveness, streamlined design, and enhanced features compared to the legacy 2016 checkout. Updating to the 2018 checkout ensures your customers have a modern, optimized buying experience.

The 2018 checkout includes several improvements over the 2016 version:

Switch to the 2018 checkout

To update your checkout from 2016 to 2018:
  1. Open the Settings tab from your Dashboard.
  2. Click Checkout Settings.
  3. Locate the Checkout Version section.
  4. Select 2018 Checkout.
  5. Click Save to apply your changes.
Note:After switching, review your checkout pages to ensure they display correctly. Test a purchase using Kajabi’s test mode to confirm everything works as expected.

What to expect after updating

Once you switch to the 2018 checkout:
  • All existing Offers will use the updated checkout automatically
  • Customer purchase history remains intact
  • Active subscriptions continue without interruption
  • Cart abandonment emails become available (if enabled)

Can I switch back to the 2016 checkout?

Yes, you can switch between checkout versions at any time through your Checkout Settings. However, the 2018 checkout is recommended for the best customer experience.

Will updating affect my existing customers?

Existing customers and their subscriptions are not affected. The update only changes the checkout experience for future purchases.

Do I need to update my Offer pages?

Your Offer pages will automatically use the selected checkout version. No additional changes are required to your existing Offers.
