Quizzes and Assessments serve different purposes in Kajabi. Quizzes are designed for testing student knowledge within Courses, while Assessments are marketing tools for your Website and Landing Pages.

Quizzes

Quizzes can be used to test your students’ understanding of your Course content, to let them submit files like worksheets or designs, or to simply gain insight into their experience with your Course. Learn more about Quizzes and how to add a Quiz to a Course.

Assessments

Assessments can be added to your Website and Landing Pages to assess your members’ prior experience and knowledge, to survey your site visitors, or to gather data to help you better tailor your content. This can be a vital marketing tool to gain a better understanding of your audience and their needs. Learn more about Assessments and how to add an Assessment to your site.
Note: Assessments inside Courses have been sunset. This feature may still appear in older accounts. Quizzes are available inside Courses and offer advanced functionality. Assessments can still be added to Website Pages.

Grading options

Unlike Assessments, Quizzes offer a manual grading option for short-answer and file upload questions, as well as the capability to share feedback on the Quiz results. While both Quizzes and Assessments can be configured as graded or non-graded, only graded Quizzes let you choose whether or not you want to set a passing grade percentage (this is mandatory for graded Assessments).
