When a customer’s payment fails, automated emails can help recover the payment by prompting them to update their payment method. Stripe allows you to configure these emails to include a payment invoice, making it easy for customers to complete their payment.

Set up automated emails for payment failures

  • Log into your Stripe account
  • Click the gear icon to open your Settings
  • Under the Billing section, select Subscriptions and Emails
  • Then, toggle on Send emails to customers to update failed card payment methods
